Rear ended

We were rear ended this morning as we were headed to work. We stopped behind another vehicle that was behind a school bus. I heard tires screeching behind me and saw in the rear view mirror a car coming at a fast rate of speed. I had never been in a car accident before so I could only imagine how this was going to feel. It did not feel too good. I only had a split second to warn Diana so I only managed to get out some colorful expletive. Diana flew out of her seat and hit the windshield. Her forehead immediately responded with a huge golf ball sized hematoma. Brittany was seated behind Diana and she hit her mouth on her knees as she was reading a book at that moment.

Diana was taken to the hospital by the ambulance to make sure that everything was ok and all the tests and xrays confirmed that she was. By that time her hematoma had shrunk with the help of cold packs.
Brittany and I went to the Dr to get checked out and we're ok except for some bumps and muscle pulls and such.

The ironic thing about all this was that the individual that hit us was the son of a co-worker of mine! Then we also saw them at the doctor's office later that day.

All in all I think we'll be fine. We're not sure how the truck will end up but the other party did luckily have full coverage insurance so everything regarding that should be taken care of.

I thanked God that we had driven the truck because if we had been in our Honda it would probably have been more serious.
